A versatile musician, Alvin is a Composer, Arranger and a Pianist.
 

He has composed music for various commercial brands such as ESSO, Pantene, Shiseido, Pringles, Gillette and many more! This gave him the opportunity to work with award winning Creative Directors and Film Directors.

He is known for his versatility in composing for different genres of music with his soulful and emotional tunes, and his creative use of modern electronic music to create epic scores. He believes in creating strong and impactful melodies in a music composition. From small ensembles to electronic music, to a full orchestral composition, he has it all.

 

Alvin graduated from the prestigious Berklee College of Music (USA) and was awarded Summa Cum Laude (1st Class Hons). During his time there, he majored in Contemporary Writing and Production, and did a minor in Writing for TV and New Media.

As a student, he had the privilege to understudy Orchestration from Grammy nominee Bill Elliot, Jazz Big Band arrangements from renowned arranger Manuel Kaufmann, and Film Scoring from award-winning composer Kurt Biederwolf.

Alvin started in the music industry as a performer (Keyboardist and Guitarist+Footdrummer) in pubs. He has performed alongside notable musicians such as singer  Joi Chua 蔡淳佳, musician Eric Huang 黃韻仁, and jazz drum legend Louis Soliano. He has also performed on big stages like the Floating Platform at Marina Bay, and the Singapore Indoor Stadium. 
 

Other than making music, he enjoys playing with his dog, Story, an 8 year old golden retriever and his cat Lucy, adopted from SPCA. He loves recreational diving too, and once served as a Naval Diver during his national service days.
